The Rooted in Community (RIC) Winter Leadership Institute is an opportunity for adults* involved with food system based youth-development programs to come together to share best practices and help each other grow personally and professionally. The institute is for adults who already have experience doing youth development food justice work.

The format is a mix of facilitated workshops and open share space. The goal of the Winter Leadership Institute is to give adults that work with youth an opportunity to share experiences, get questions answered, and build relationships.

The Winter Leadership Institute will take place February 17-20th at Camp Burgess in Sandwich, MA. There is a fee of $250 to cover housing, meals, transportation to/from Logan airport and all conference activities. The fee can be paid on-line. If you are in need of a scholarship please note that in your registration. We will prioritize people of color and historically marginalized communities in the distribution of scholarships.

The Winter Leadership Institute is meant to be small and intimate and we will cap attendance at 75 individuals.

*RIC defines “adult” based on the leadership role that they have – not based on age. This training is specifically for people who lead youth programs for their organization and not for program participants (even if they are 18 or over).
