In 2024 Rooted In Community will be having it’s 21st annual summer summit in Albuquerque, NM.
The Rooted in Community National Youth Leadership Summit is a conference for high school aged young people involved in the food justice movement. Every summer the summit attracts over 100 young people from throughout the United States and Canada along with 30-40 adult allies. Adults allies cannot attend the summit without bringing high school aged participants and young people cannot attend without an adult ally. Join us and experience: Join youth from across the country to cultivate grassroots leadership, and strengthen the movement through skill building, co-learning, creative arts and direct action.

In 2018 Rooted in Community is holding our 20th Anniversary celebration in Millerton, NY. With support from WILDSEED, Rock Steady Farm, & the Watershed Center we get to explore the eastern Hudson Valley and contribute to the bustling farming community in Millerton.

SUMMER SUMMIT FEES AND REGISTRATION DATES
Regular Registration: March 1st to June 17th Youth: $225 Adult: $275
Late Registration: June 17th to July 1st Youth: $250 Adult: $300
Day-only registration is available for local participants: Youth: $25, Adult: $40
Any submissions after July 1, 2018 will not be accepted
Rates include a discount/scholarship for all participants. No additional discounts are available.
Fees include all housing, food and conference activities. Transportation to and from the event is not included.
